Plus you could already have Christmas lined up by buying more attachments. They even have one that turns it into an ice-cream machine! My kids really want to get that one .
The mixer I received came with 4 attachments.
-flex head beater(it scrapes the bowl as it mixes)
So any Mom would be in Heaven with all the things you can make and create . The first thing I decided to make was Loaded Bake Potato Soup. Dad’s you could really impress the wife with a fancy, easy to make home cooked meal for Mother’s Day. I will show you how in a step by step recipe below.
Loaded Baked Potato Soup
6 russet potatoes peeled and chopped
1 yellow onion diced
1tbsp minced garlic
4tbsp salted butter
garlic salt to taste preference
2tsp sea salt
8oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 can 14.5oz chicken broth
6 tbsp sour scream
3 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
Put the peeled and diced potatoes in a pot and cover with 2 inches of water.Bring to a rolling boil and cook for 20-30 minutes or until tender.
While the potatoes are boiling saute the diced onion and minced garlic in the salted butter until translucent.
After the potatoes are soft drain all the water off and place the potatoes and the sautéed onions and garlic in the KitchenAid mixing bowl.If you don’t happen to have a mixer you can mash them by hand.
As you blend the potatoes, onion, and garlic together slowly add in the 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream.
After the mixture is creamy with very little lumps, pour it back into the big soup pot you boiled the potatoes in and add the milk and chicken broth.
At this point mixture will be lumpy. Cook soup for 30 minutes stirring occasionally on medium heat. When soup is done it should be really creamy with almost no lumps.
Then add salt, pepper and garlic salt to get the final taste your family likes. We then load the soup with shredded cheese, sour cream, and bacon bits. You can also add chives if you like.
So if you want to make this Mother’s Day extra special then head over to QVC to find the perfect gift. Then surprise her with a tasty meal the whole family will love.
