I love coffee!!!! Anybody who has been reading my blog has probably already figured that out. So every time I get a chance to review a new coffee I get excited.
The coffee today is called Kick Ass coffee by Kicking Horse. This coffee company was started in 1996 by Leo Johnson and Elana Rosenfeld. They decided to start brewing coffee in their garage and did some experimenting with different ways to roast and brew. They even brewed in their skivvies with babies on the hip. This is the definition of a Mom and Pop start up company.
Kicking Horse makes lots of different varieties of Coffee but I chose to go with Kick Ass and as it’s name clearly states this is a coffee that will get you up and going. I use to really only like mild, very light coffees, but as I have grown older I now love the flavor and complexities of the darker roasts.
Kick Ass is a whole bean coffee it does not come ground so know in advance you will need a grinder to use it. It has a wonderful robust flavor and is a very Dark Roast almost taste like espresso to me.
The best part about this company though is that they are Fair Trades,Organic, and sustainable. Even the can it comes in is recyclable. With our family trying to lower our carbon footprint I really like that they care about the environment and are doing their part to keep this world safe for the next generation.
So I know your mouth is now drooling to get your hands on this robust dark coffee and Kicking Horse has been nice enough to share a full size can of Kick Ass coffee with one lucky reader!
