Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit

Every time me and my youngest daughter go to the mall she immediately starts asking “Can we go to Auntie Anne’s for a pretzel?” Well since they are so amazingly good I have a very hard time telling her no.So as a result we get a pretzel every trip to the mall. I love getting a special moment alone with any of my kids,so this has become our tradition.

Recently I had seen that now you can make these awesome pretzels at home! Yep the same yummy pretzels we buy at the mall can now be made at home.

Auntie Anne’s At-Home baking kits come in three different flavors at this time Original,Apple-Cinnamon,and Gingerbread. As it was close to Christmas when we made our first batch we went with Gingerbread.

So here is our step by step photos of making our own Auntie Anne’s pretzels

To start with you mix all the ingredients into a dough ball.Make sure and flour the counter or this stuff will stick like crazy!

After you get your dough ball you will need to cover it with plastic wrap(again spray the wrap with oil to prevent sticking) You then need to let it rest for about an hour in a warm place.I sat mine on top of the stove which I was preheating.

Next you will need to roll out the dough to make 10 even pieces. You then roll them out into 3 foot long snakes. It doesn’t look like enough dough for 10,but I promise it does make 10.

You then can shape them into regular pretzel shapes or if you want get creative and do what ever shapes you like.

You will then mix the baking soda and warm water together and dip each pretzel and shake off excess liquids.

Then you put them on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven til done.Follow the directions here exactly or you will over cook.

Finally you will baste each with melted butter and sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar topping.

Here is our first try. They came out kinda fat,so next time we made them we rolled them a bit thinner and they were perfect.

We really loved these and they only lasted about an hour and they were gone! I now have a box of the Apple Cinnamon and we will be baking them real soon.

Overall I was super impressed with the quality and flavor plus for $4.99 they are a way better value then buying them at the mall.

Please head over to Auntie Anne’s website for more yummy recipes and great products your family will love!

  1. My 6 yr old not only LOVES Auntie Annie’s, but also LOVES to bake! This would be the perfect Birthday present for her!

  2. Yum! This looks so good! They just recently put an Auntie Annes in my local Walmart and I got to try a sample the other day. It was really good. Now that I know there are kits you can buy to make these at home, I def. am going to have to look for them!
